Hurghada & Giftun Islands

الغردقة وجزر الجفتون

Resort coast with reef snorkelling around the protected Giftun islands.

Hurghada grew from a fishing village into the Red Sea's largest resort town. Just offshore, the Giftun islands are part of a protected area with sandy beaches and reefs that make for popular snorkelling and boat trips. The town has a marina, a long coastline of resorts and easy access to Luxor by road.

Highlights

  • Snorkelling on house reefs
  • Hurghada marina in the evening
