Temple of Kom Ombo
معبد كوم أمبو
The double temple of Sobek and Horus on a bend of the Nile.
The temple of Kom Ombo stands on a bend of the Nile and is unusual for being a double temple, with two parallel axes: one for the crocodile god Sobek and one for the falcon god Haroeris. A small museum beside it shows mummified crocodiles found in the area.
